... And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. - Hebrews 11:6

The Story about a Penny & God

There is so much truth in this story - and this is the reason why I wan't to share it on Seth's blog. During Seth's entire adoption process from the very beginning until this very day - we have had to walk blindly by faith and TRUST IN GOD'S plan for our life when it came to this adoption. I am so glad we did, because had we have gone on our what if's and fears, today we would not be holding the precious gift that our Good Lord had for us.

Thank You Jesus for your perfect plan in our lives. I Love you, much !!!! me.

A Penny & the Truth

Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.
The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely. As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband. He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment. Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny. He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny?

Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer. She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value. A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?"Look at it," he said. "Read what it says." She read the words 'United States of America ' "No, not that; read further .

"One cent?" "No, keep reading.""In God We Trust?" "Yes!" "And?""And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it!

God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful!"

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I read the words, "In God We Trust," and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message!

It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful! And, God is patient..

The best mathematical equation I have ever seen: 1 cross+ 3 nails = 4 given

That's the whole gospel message simply stated.

Remember this: If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Have a blessed Day, Peace !!!

Update on Sethey Poo

Well once again, here I am praising and giving God all the Glory because Sethey Poo is on his way towards recovery. Yesterday, I took Seth to the doctor and she said that Seth's chest and lungs were all clear. The doctor also had me decrease the amount of times that I give him the nebulizer. Now instead of every
4-6hrs it's to be given to him 2x a day for the next 3 days and then discontinue the Albuterol treatment.

Seth was also put on a medication called Singular - and that is to prevent him from getting Asthma in the future. He needs to be on that pill for (6) mth, one pill a day, to be mixed with food. Other than that Seth is doing just great.

Blessings to all.

Tomorrow, we are off to the doctor's office to get checked up on again. I will post again tommorrow.
Blessings to all,.

Five Month Update

Well besides getting better from RSV - This month has been a milestone for Sethey

Poo. He has discovered alot about his body, let's see - he has discovered his genitals and tries to grab and then stretch (Ouchie), he has discovered that he can grab his feet and then brings them to his mouth, and he has discovered that he can take off his socks. Hmmm, that stripping part (reminds me of one of his cousins) who could that be ?????

Other than that he is just getting cuter by the bits. Today we went grocery shopping and besides the usual of getting stopped by women to say how cute seth is, a man actually stopped us twice and stared at Seth and said WOW !!! look at that face, he will be a chick magnet. The same man stopped me again just minutes later in a different aisle and said to the girl he was with, "Look at this baby - Is he not adorable??? The lady said Awww - he is too cute.

And Seth just loves the attention. He was created by our wonderful Lord and Savior (How can he not be made any more perfect), again I thank my Lord and Savior for this precious gift and I thank Seth's birth parents for loving him that much to give him a chance at life, and also for giving me the gift of motherhood. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!

A Sick little Seth

Update on Sethey Poo - Dec, 6. 2007 seth turned 5 mths old. Yes - it's already been five months since that midnight ride to Cape Coral Hospital to meet our new son. I could hardly believe it. Seth continues to grow and do well. It's awesome to see him discover life on a daily basis. Truly, the gift of life is a miracle. Thank You Jesus for allowing me to experience motherhood.
Today, we had to take Seth to the doctor, he had been having a rough cough / cold symptons since last week and it's been progressively getting worse. It turned out that he has RSV - what is that you may ask - you can read all about it at: http://www.rsvprotection.com/what_is/what_is.aspx , pretty much in our language it is

"Baby Bronchitis" as his doctor called it. It is pretty serious and needs to be treated right away.
So after a busy morning with the doctor, a shot on his leg, aerosol breathing treatments, steamy baths & antiobiotics - this is what you have: - a tired out little five month old that wants to sleep his sickness away :(
